ALLEN, Scott Lee - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Scott Lee Allen of Waveland died Monday at his sister’s residence in Waveland. He was 60. Mr. Allen worked at CSI of Crawfordsville for the last 12 years. He had worked at Midstates Wire of Crawfordsville for 27 years until it closed in 1999. He served in the Army after high school. After basic training at Fort Knox in 1969, he left for Vietnam. He was stationed at Da Nang until 1971. He remained on active reserve duty until 1975. He was born March 21, 1951, at Waveland, to Leslie and Bonnie Bowles Allen. Survivors include: daughter Jena (Jason) Harwood of Crawfordsville; son Brad Allen of Lafayette; and sister Rita (Leroy) Blanton of Waveland. His parents and grandson Braxton Joe Allen are deceased. Cremation was chosen. Friends may call noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Crawfordsville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday at the V.F.W., with Vernon Dowell officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at Wolf Creek Cemetery.
