VEEDERSBURG — Margaret “Meg” Irene (Moyer) Alkire, 36, of Veedersburg, died in the St. Clare Medical Center, Crawfordsville, on Thursday, October 4, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. Meg was born in South Bend on March 30, 1965. She was the daughter of Edward and Barbara Felty Moyer. She was raised in Hillsboro and graduated from Fountain Central High School. She moved to Veedersburg in 1992. She attended the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Covington. On October 8, 1996 Meg married Scott Alkire in Covington. He survives. Also surviving are her parents, Edward and Barbara Moyer, Hillsboro; a son, Mitchell Wayne Beck, Jr., Veedersburg; a brother, Edward Moyer, Jr., Woodridge, Ill. There will be no services for the public. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. – jlr
