Alexander - Joseph ? 1873

Walnut Grove - Mr. Alexander, (*possibly Joseph) an old citizen just east of the grove, died on last Friday. He was respected by all who knew him. He was wealthy, not in this world’s goods, but rich in the kingdom of heaven which is better than all earthly goods. His character was above suspicion. He has lived on his farm for forty four years and we don’t know that he had an enemy on earth. He has been a faithful member of the M. E. Church here at old Ebenezer Church for forty years. He was diseased for several years, being blind and almost deaf, but he has gone to rest at the advanced age of eighty three years.
