John Albright, one of Crawfordsville’s old and respected citizens died today at nine o’clock at his home on South Walnut Street after a long and painful illness.  John Albright was born in Wurttemberg, Germany, July 19, 1842. At the age of fourteen he immigrated to his country, locating in Lafayette, where in 1865 he entered in wedlock with Theresa Heiser. The result of this marriage was seven children, four of whom survive him. The funeral will take place at his late residence on the corner of Walnut and Chestnut Streets Wednesday at 3 o’clock p.m. by Rev. G. W. Switzer. Interment will be at Oak Hill by McPherson Post, G.A.R.

John Albright, one of Crawfordsville’s old citizens passed from this earth at his home on South Walnut Street last Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock after a long and painful illness.  John Albright was born in Wurtemburg, Germany July 10, 1842.  At the age of 14 he immigrated to this country, locating in Lafayette where in 1865 he entered in wedlock with Theresa Heiser. The result of this marriage was 7 children, four of whom survive him.  The funeral occurred from the residence on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock.  Services by Rev GW Switzer. Interment at Oak Hill under the auspices of McPherson Post GAR. - kbz
