George H. Albert, 64, of Linden died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, in the emergency room at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health-Crawfordsville.George was born June 10, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the Lawrence Henry and Ruth Marie Dagley Albert. He married Connie Carol Parrish on Dec. 21, 1969, at Attica, and she survives.George served in the Army during the Vietnam War, and was employed by Purina, now Cargill Inc. at Lafayette as a grain miller.He was a member of St. Paul Community Church, and a former member of the Lafayette Gas Bangers CB Club, Madison Township Fire and Rescue Department, Montgomery County Emergency Management and the Lafayette Cloud Jockeys.Surviving with his wife is a sister, Dianna Lynn (Gary) Valangeon of Covington.He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Vernon and Lawrence Wyatt Albert. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Linden. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. R. Clayton Kendall officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion and VFW of Crawfordsville.
