Mrs. Effie Isabelle Alward daughter of Henry and Lidia Seits was born Dec 13, 1878 and passed away at her home in Waveland Dec 4, 1941 at the age of 62 years, 11 mo. and 22 days. Death was due to a heart attack suffered while asleep. She was married May 25, 1900 to John Alward who preceeded her in death Oct 18, 1936. Mrs. Alward spent most of her life in and around Waveland. At an early age she united with the Baptist Church, later moving her membership to the Methodist Church. While not an active worker int he church, she was always ready and willing at all times to help those in need. She was a loving friend & neighbor and will be sadly missed by all. She leaves to mourn her loss, a stepmother, Mrs. Rebecca Seits, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Goldie Miles; a stepson Henry McCarty; 12 grandch. 20 great grandchildren and a host of friends. - kbz
