ELIZABETH DOVE ALLISON (note: name may be Ellison)

Mrs. Elizabeth Dove Allison died in the Old Ladies' Home at Lafayette on Monday. Since going there a few weeks ago she has been in the hospital nearby all the time, but was considerably better on the day of her death and was able to go up town. She was born in Tennessee. Her parents died in infancy. After staying with several families whe finally found a permanent home with Rev. John Alderdice who was then at Schofield Prairie and later at Waveland. She lived in Waveland until her marriage with John Allison in 1859 (?) who died two years later. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church on Wednesday afternoon by the pastor, Rev. FB Solin. - kbz
