Zora ALLEN accidentally Shot -- Zora, the 19-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Allen, who live near the Fisher school house, accidentally shot himself on Friday morning with fatal effect. He and two brothers were cutting wood, and had taken a 22 rifle along to shoot rabbits. The rifle was discharged with young Allen was laying it down. The bullet entered at the point of the breast bone and probably passed thru the heart, as death was almost instantaneous. Funeral services at the Byron Wesleyan M. E. . Church on Sunday morning were in charge of Rev. Mr. Myers of Newport. Interment at Wolf Creek Cemetery. - Thanks to Helen Fuson for this submission.
