Alamo - Thomas Samuel Allen, 76, a lifetime resident of Alamo, died suddenly at 7:05 p.m. Monday in his residence. He was a farmer. Allen was born Nov. 2, 1886, in New Richmond, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Allen. He was first married to Blanche Dearmond in 1905. After her death he married Bertha Oppy in 1917 at Crawfordsville. He was a member of the New Richmond Christian Church. His education was received in New Richmond. Survivors include the widow; three sons, Gene Allen of Fort Wayne, Fern L. Peek of Rapid City, Ill., and Merton Allen of Linden; a daughter, Nevada Schwartz of Spencer, and a brother, Joseph Allen of Churubusco. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. John Servies will officiate. Burial will be in the New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz
