Stephen T. Allen, a former resident of this place, died on Friday at the home of his son, Rev. William Allen, in Whitestown. He was born in this township in 1851, and was engaged for the most of his life in stock buying, and in that capacity had a wide acquaintance. He has been engaged in the commission business in Indianapolis since 1903. In 1875 he was married to Miss Sattie Ewing, who with 5 children survive. He was a brother of John Allen of Browns Valley. Funeral services were held at the home in Indianapolis Sunday morning. Interment at Indian Creek Cemetery. During the latter part of his life he was connected with the Christian Science Church of Indianapolis. - kbz
