Raymond H. Allen, 90, of 310 E. Chestnut St., retired R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. executive, died at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Ben Hur Nursing Home. Mr. Allen served 18 years as resident manager of the Donnelley firm. After his retirement he was employed with the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce and Bowers Print Co. of Crawfordsville. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge and Rotary Club. He was born June 2, 1883 at Mt. Morris, Ill., a son of Charles and Emma Allen. He was married to Ethel Rogerson on Oct. 15, 1917. She died in February, 1970. Surviving are three sons, Dudley of Rochelle, Ill.; Richard of Lafayette and Raymond of Duluth, Minn.; three daughters, Jane Vaught and Mary Galloway of Crawfordsville and Harriet Ade of Kokomo; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Private family services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Animal Welfare League.
