Mrs. Leona Allen, 75 of 516 Allen, Crawfordsville died at 6:30 pm. Saturday Aug 30, 1975 at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. She had been a patient there three months. Mrs. Allen was born July 19, 1900 in Missouri, the daughter of James W. and Daley M. Gephart Krout. On Jan 20, 1920, she was married to Freeman Allen, who survives. She lived in Montgomery County during childhood and was a member of the Alamo Christian Church. She was educated in Alamo. Survivors include a son, carl Allen of Crawfordsville; six daughters Mrs. Margaret Fairfield, Mrs Grace Swank, Mrs. Bernice Williams Mrs. Mary French and Mrs. Jean Gleason of Crawforedsville and Mrs. Wynona Henley of Waveland and 37 grandchildren and several greats. She was preceded in death by two infant children, two sisters, a brother and grandson. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown with Rev. Howard S. Miller officiating. Burial at Wolf Creek Cemetery near Wallace. - kbz
