John C. Allen, 71, a well known resident of Browns Valley died in Culver Hospital on Monday. Funeral services at the Browns Valley Baptist Church on Wednesday afternoon were in charge of Rev. Raymond Skelton. Burial at Indian Creek Cemetery. He was the son of Joseph and Mary Allen. His first wife who was Lillian Williams died several years ago. In 1922 he married Katherine Lawrence who survives him with two stepdaughters, Mrs. Albert Armentrout of New Market and Mrs. B.C. Wagoner of Browns Valley. - kbz
