Waveland-- Mrs. Grace B. Allen, 78, of Waveland, died at 8 p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health three years. Mrs. Allen spent most of her life in this community and was a member of the Byron Wesley Methodist Church. Born March 26, 1888, in Parke County, she was a daughter of Howard and Sarah Thomas Clore. She was married May 10, 1905 to Forest Allen. They were married at Rockville. Survivors include the husband, a son, Leslie of Waveland; two daugthers, Mrs. Frank Gardner and Mrs. Roy Pittman both of Waveland; two brothers, Roy Hutson of Rockville and Ared Hutson of Veedersburg; four sisters, Mrs. Goldie Bryant of Waynetown; Mrs. Flossie Floyd of Marshall; Mrs. Sylvia Spraggs of Kingman and Mrs. Daisey Ratcliff of Hillsboro; for grandchildren and six greats. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home here. Rev. Walter Porter and Rev. Michael Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Allen, age 78 of Waveland, sister of Ared Hutson of Veedersburg Mrs. Sylvia Spraggs of Kingman and Mrs. Daisy Ratcliff of Hillsboro were held at 10 a.m. Thursday Dec 8 at the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland. Mrs. Allen died Monday night in Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health three years. Waveland – Rites were conducted for Grace B. Allen at the Machledt and Servies Funeral Home in Waveland with Rev. Walter Porter officiating assisted by Rev. Michael Williams. Pallbearers were Russell Bryant, Francis Coats, Don Warren, Leon Hockett, Gordon Ratcliff and Frank Allen. They also assisted with the flowers. NR Walker played soft music on the organ. Burial was in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
