Mrs. Etta Archey Allen, Rt. 1, New Richmond, died Tuesday in Culver Hospital where she had been a patient since falling at her home three weeks ago. A native of the New Richmond community, Mrs. Allen was the daughter of James and Mary L. Tribby. She was married twice. Her first husband was Will Archey and her second husband, Will Allen. Both preceded her in death. Mrs. Allen was a graduate of DePauw University and Madame Blaker's School in Indianapolis. She taught in a mission school in Chile, South America, several years. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Ladoga Presbyterian Church, Dorothy Q Chapter of the DAR, and the Roundhill Community Club. She also was a 50-year member of Athens Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lester Pierce, with whom Mrs. Allen made her home, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Hunt and Son Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Hayden of the New Richmond Methodist Church will be the officiating minister. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday. Robert Hayden of the New Richmond Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the floral tributes were Gaylord Tribby, William Mason, Harvey Long, Sterling Shubert, Merill Clapp and Thomas Hein. Selections were played on the organ by Mrs. Robert Hayden.
