Wallace -- Byron R. Allen, 60, a farmer in the Wallace community most of his life died Wednesday morning of a coronary occlusion at his home 2 mi SW of Wallace. Born Aug 13, 1895 in the home where he died, Mr. Allen was the son of William and Grace Cox Allen. He married Edith Coffeen at Rockville on June 5, 1919. Surviving are the widow; four duaghters, Mrs. Doris Collins of near Crawfordsville; Mrs. Helen Brown of Danville, Ill; Mrs. Fern Lindquist of Veedersburg and Mrs. Lois Plunkett of near Kingman; a brother, Freeman Allen of Crawfordsville and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, William and Glenn Allen. The body was taken to the Grenard and Servies Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wolf Creek Church, followed by burial at Wolf Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the family residence on Indian 234 after 2 p.m. Thursday. - kbz
