ALICE RICE RAMSEY ALLEN
Mrs. Alice Allen, formerly Mrs. John Ramsey of this city, wife of the late ex-mapor (sic - mayor) John Ramsey, died Thursday in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis at 7 o'clock in the evening. She had been operated on for gall stones and cancerous growths. She was 68 years old and was married to George T. Allen. Her home was in Lawrence, Indiana. Mrs. Allen was well known in Crawfordsville and was born and reared in this city. Before her marriage to Mr. Ramsey she was Miss Alice Rice. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the First Methodist Episcopal church. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Barnhill undertaking parlors. Interment will be in Oak Hill. -- typed by kbz
