Waveland -- William Alexander, 82, retired farmer, died about 6 a.m. Thurday morning in Culver Hospital. He had been ill six days. He was a member of the old Farmer's Chapel Church, Waveland. He was born June 8, 1884, to James and Bell Nutgrass Alexander. He married Edna Akers, Bellmore, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Russell White, Waveland; two sons, Wayne, Rt 1, Greencastle andPaul, Judson; 7 grandchildren and six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was precede in death by a son. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. saturday at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home, Waveland with Rev. Grover DeNeal officiating. Burial will bein Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 pm. Friday. - kbz
