Mrs. Mildred Ruth Alexander, 48, sister of two Crawfordsville residents—Dale and Harold Anderson— died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Community Hospital, Indianapolis. She had been ill for five months. Mrs. Alexander, wife of James Lawrence Alexander, had been a resident of Indianapolis for the last 27 years. The Alexander residence is at 7029 E. 33rd St. Born Jan. 6, 1920 near Russellville, Mrs. Alexander was the daughter of James and Rena Anderson. She was married June 29, 1940 in Crawfordsville. Mrs. Alexander was a member of the United Church of Christ at Russellville. She attended Russellville High School. Surviving, in addition to the two brothers residing in Crawfordsville, are the husband; her father of near Morton; a daughter, Mrs. Marsha Osborne of Indianapolis; a third brother, Everett of Russellville, and three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Maria of West Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Helen Leahy of New York City, and Mrs. Thelma Poland of Bellmore. She was preceded in death by her mother and one brother. Mrs. Alexander's body is at the Harry W. Moore Arlington Chapel, 5811 E. 38th St., Indianapolis. Funeral arrangements are pending. Moore Arlington Chapel, 5811 E. 38th St., Indianapolis. Mrs. Alexander, sister of two Crawfordsville residents — Dale and Harold Anderson—died Sunday in Indianapolis. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home.
