WAVELAND – Edna H. Alexander, 85, died Thursday in her home here. She was a Parke County native, born Nov. 20, 1887 to Luke and Laviana Akers, and was educated in the Bellmore schools. She married William Alexander on Sept. 13, 1908 at Bellmore. Mrs. Alexander was a member of the EUB Church at Otterbein. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Doris) White of Waveland, and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband and two sons preceded Mrs. Alexander in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Machledt & Servies Funeral Home here, with the Rev. Lester Niles officiating and burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. – jlr
