ROCKVILLE – Russell T. Akers, 68, Marshall Avenue, died Saturday at 4:05 p.m. in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. He was born in Parke County Feb. 11, 1901, the son of Charles and Susie Lanning Akers. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Lawson of Waveland; three sons, Harold M. and Robert L., both of Rt. 3, Rockville, and Richard of Rockville; four sisters, Mrs. Cleona Earhart of Anderson, Mrs. Elsie Thompson of Roachdale, Mrs. Claudia Cunningham of Russellville and Mrs. Eunice Fenton of Aurora, Ill.; two brothers, Henry of Aurora, Colo., and Enos of Indianapolis, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted in Butler Funeral Home here with Rev .Philip Frew officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Hollandsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home. – jlr
