Battery B 414 AAA Gn. Bn located at Waveland will leave for annual Summer Field Training on the morning of 23 August returning 6 September. The local battery has an enlistment of 28 men and 2 officers. That trip will be by motor truck this year, previously the journey had been made by train and bus. Training will be at the 5th ARMY Anti-Aircraft training site at Camp Haven, WI (about 80 miles north of Milwaukee). Training will be given on 90 mm anti-aircraft guns as well as various other weapons, radar, radio, motor and motor trucks, cooking and other lines for which other equipment and space is not available at the home station. The following personnel will make the trip: Captain, Robert E. Fullenwider; 1st Lt., Malcolm I. Wells; M/Sgt James L. Hawn; Sfc Raymond D. Hannah; Cpl. Lando Cosby, Jr.; George A. Mikels, Glenn W. Newell; Ronald D. Rivers; Richard M. Seybold; Donald Money; Earl French, Jr. Pfc Robert W. French; Richard L. Hockett; John V. Miles; William P. Morgan; Daryl E. Newell; Raymond Ochiltree; Harold E. Starnes; Robert D. Wheeler.
