Mr. Augustus Monroe and Miss Versia Caldwell were married at the residence of the bride, north of Waveland, Wednesday evening Jan 23, Rev. WF Gibson officiating. Only the relatives and intimate friends of the contracting parties witnessed the ceremony, which took place promptly at 7 o'clock after which an excellent supper was served. The whole wedding was marked by exquisite simplicity and reserve. Mrs. Monroe has always been considered one of the most beautiful and highly respected young ladies of Freedom neighborhood. Mr. Monroe is held in the highest esteem by all his acquaintances and is a thorough business man. They will be at home near Crawfordsville after February 1.
