New Market, June 15 – The home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Armantrout of this place was the scene of a lovely June candlelight wedding on Sunday JUNE 14TH when Miss Helen Alward, former New Market teacher, daughter of Mrs. Dora Alward of Waynetown became the bride of Willard P. Dausman son of Mrs. Nettie Dausman of Elkhart. The bride and bridegroom departed early in the afternoon for a two weeks’ trip to be spent at Lake Lura, Ashville, NC and upon their return will be at home in Elkhart. The bride’s traveling gown was a boucle ensemble in peach color. Among those in attendance were: Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Westland of Russellville. --- transcribed by kbz
