My dear Nephew, I’ve been thinking about thee all monring but as thoughts never count unless spoken or written directly or otherwise are made known will try to answer thy letter rec’d last week while I was at Aunt Rachel’s and which was very interesting or instructive – will leave answering the card until later on in the more ? appear just manner.  It’s such a pretty morning I’d like to be out of doors doing something but the ground is frozen so heard that digging post holes, making chicken coops etc is a little early yet. Our fouls have fled the coup and are a sorry looking set yet but have learned what is good for it so guess we will not lose any more if any.

We are all feeling better since getting over our colds so think of us can stem the title ? list? Through March we may com eout all right in the Fall.  I had such a nice visit at Darlington was at Aunt’s a most of the time went to Clayton’s one p.m. he seems better and as he grows older reminds me of Uncle Isaac’s in some ways, especially when he discusses has about five acres set out in ? said he heard San Jose scale attached shade trees as well as fruit trees which assertive ? made it more startling to me – hope it don’t attack “old made” and if so in a very light form.  Hila has got in such a nice collection of apples, said they even Ben Wards at the Mann apple she better had the flavor of the old fashioned Roman stein.  Eunice & Marjorie are both artists of note – I was surprised to see their work at hope they may be able to cultivate their taste which seems to run in that direction.  It seems strange to think Warner does not enjoy house is living with his Grandmother & works at the mill in town. Ella & I went over and spent one evening at Jays Emma at her family were there – he isn’t in very good health they live where they did last Fall. Earl & his fmaily have moved to Harry Coombs’ house came last 6th day. We women friends meet at Tone? Todd’s yesterday and helped make a carpet for Clyda had a merry time.  Hannah said Irene had a post card from thee.  Has thee seen the Stantons since thee went to Lafayette?  Ella and I were talking the other day how nice it would be for she to go over to Oxford some Sunday and spend the Sabbath with Oliver and Ruth it isn’t so very fare as Ella said they’d be so glad to have thee come so go if thee can. The men are at work at the house on the hill getting it on price ? ready to move leave or going of about ? 8 men at work share or they do some of their cooking and eating in the house or sleep there at night said they’d move it in 4 days but think they will have to hurry if they do. Mr. and Mrs. Perkins are to live in the home when moved are living at Charlie’s this week. They are newly received we hear.  Old Corey seems to be effected with the heaves don’t know when he will be able to even plow the garden or not.  Papa seems real well of late a should here his am and walks out nearly every day his hearing seems to get worse instead of better. Cinda has gone up to your house this a.m. to help with the washing as Claude and Bradley has gone to Karl Morrisons sale they went to one at Kirkpatrick yesterday but did not buy anything. It’s mail time so must conclude. Write us soon. Loving thy Auntie Rachel 2-27-07.
