BUSER, Lucille to Lorraine Morgan - 1951

LUCILLE BUSER - LORRAINE MORGAN

Letter from her to Lorene Warner Morgan, whose son was killed in Korea Nov 4, 1951

Nov 20, 1951 – Box 142, New Market, Indiana – Dear Mrs. Morgan: At such a time we realize there is nothing we can say to lessen your sorrow – much as we would like to, but we do want to extend to you and your family our deepest sympathy, which seems to be all we can offer. However, there is one consolation I am sure, to know that Clayton was always such a good boy and had so many friends. Then, too I’m glad for you that you have other children to share the burden with you. As soon as Mrs. Booher got your message she called to bob at Henning. I’m glad if Bob helped make Clayton’s days a little brighter with his letters. I always told him he might neglect some other letter writing but the letters to Clayton were a “must” and Bob felt the same way about it. We are hoping Margaret and Bob will be home some time over the Thanksgiving vacation, but don’t know when they will come or for how long but am sure Bob will try to talk to you if it is at all possible. Very sincerely, Mrs. Lucile Buser
