Dear Sir
permit me to drop you a line on a matter about which you have but little Interest the Man who came for your goods was unfortunate in haveing a counterfit Note consequently he failed paying his bill he said he had onley 75 cents left but offered to give all he had; his bill with me was $1.25 cents I observed to him that of he was a honest man there need be no difficulty about the --- matter to give me a quarter and when he got home to send me a dollar bill in a letter I have never heard from him since --- will you be so good as to ask him something about the case and let me know what he says I have forgotin his name please to give me his name. We are all well
I remain with sentiments of Esteem yours Rev ----- Ash H Ristine
