Denk Bros. have a "banana bug," on exhibition in their window. The critter was found in a bunch of bananas Tuesday and reduced to captivity without anyone being bit. This would have been a serious matter as the bite of these spiders produces melancholy, stupor and an uncontrollable desire to dance. The only cure is plenty of dancing.

Denk Bros. have been conserving ice this week. This is a good example to follow. Every ton of ice and there is plenty of it - put up now saves coal or its equivalent next summer. And it didn't cost a cent to freeze it, either.
