The Brown Twp. Farm Bureau held its regular monthly meeting Monday evening Nov 17 at the Waveland school building. A bean supper was enjoyed by the 70 members present. The meeting was opened by chairman, Fred Myers, Devotions were given by Rev. DeNeal. Farm Bureau Coop reports were given by the directors, Paul Emmertt & Clarence Milligan. Fred Myers and Paul Emmert gave a report on the highlights of the Indian Farm Bureau State Convention held at Indianapolis. One of the main interests of the evening was the hobby show for women and girls and the corn show for the men and boys. Prizes were given the following for their hobby displays: Mrs. Oscar Cook painted pictures; plaques and dishes; Mrs. Newton Fullenwider - antique dishes; Mary Dell Overstreet - collection of horses. Mrs Robert McMurray old books and Mrs. Fred Mitchell ruffled doilies. Corn show winners were on 10 ears, 1st Fred Myers, 2nd Don Myers, 3rd Fred Myers.
