Mrs. Delilah LAMSON, widow of the late Thomas Lamson, died on Monday morning at the home of her son, John SW of town. While feeble, Mrs. Lamson was able to get up on the morning of her death and prepare for breakfast. Death came suddenly and peacefully. Funeral services at Union Church on Wed. morning were conducted by Rev. SK Fuson. The following obituary was read:

Mrs. Delilah Lamson, d. at the home of her son, John E. Lamson, on Monday morning. The deceased was b. in Warren Co, in 1841. She was united in marr. to Thomas Lamson Sept 17, 1855. To them were born 11 children. Nine children are living 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The surviving children are: John, Osa, Charles, Rollo, Harry and Clifford of Waveland, Julius of New Richmond, Mrs. Martha Miller and Mrs. Florence Simpson of New Market. Mrs. Lamson united with the Union Baptist Church in 1868. She lived a christian life and was a good neighbor, and a kind and loving mother.
