Mrs. Phoebe J. Zeigler, 76 well known resident of this vicinity died at the home of her niece, Mrs. Clarence Newman, four miles northwest of Stone Bluff, Thursday evening at 6 o'clock. The deceased had been in poor health for the past two years and had been seriously ill for 4 days. Her death was caused by complications. Mrs. Zeigler was born June 5, 1848 in Fountain County, Indiana near Stone Bluff, the daughter of Benjamin and Phoebe Crane Labaw. On September 14, 1867, she was married to Daniel Zeigler, who preceded her in death 41 yearse ago. She had lived in this vicinity for the greater part of her life and was widely known. She was a member of hte United Brethren Church. She is survived by two sons, Harley and Bert Zeigler, both of Pratt, Kansas and one daughter, Mrs. James Rivers of near Waynetown. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 at the Waynetown Baptist Church. The Rev. Elmer Fowler of Dayton, Ohio will have charge of the services and burial will take place at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
