DORA J. CAMPBELL
DIES AT HOSPITAL
AFTER OPERATION
Highly Respected Woman Passes
Away Monday Morning; Funeral Wednesday

Mrs. Dora J. Campbell, highly respected woman of this city, died at 11:35 o'clock Monday morning, at the Culver hospital following an operation for appendicitis a few days ago. She was first stricken last Wednesday. Dora J. Campbell, was born the daughter of Elijah and Emily Kennedy near Smartsburg on February 14, 1855. She was united in marriage to James Campbell in February, 1875. She was a member of the Christian church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jesse Ward; a granddaughter, Doris May Ward; a sister, Lavina Henry; three brothers, Albert E. Kenendy (sic), Benjamin Kennedy, and George Kennedy, and many relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the home of Jess Ward, 726 East Main street, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. J. H. Wilson in charge. Burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery.

Dora Kennedy, b. ca. 1855 in Indiana, the daughter of Elijah and Emily (Misner) Kennedy, and wed on 24 Feb 1876 in Montgomery Co., IN: James Campbell (see also her father's obituary).

Ethel E., a daughter, born in April of 1883 in Indiana who wed
Jesse Ward.

The Campbells resided in Union Twp. of Montgomery Co., Indiana and by
1900 had a small family.
