Joseph Robert KELSO, 76 a former resident died in Culver Hospital from a ruptured appendix. He was born Feb 3, 1866 on the old Kelso Farm West of Waveland on No. 47 and was the son of William R. and Nancy McMain Kelso. Before moving to Crawfordsville he owned and lived on a farm west of Waveland, a part of which is now the Gilliland farm. He was married in 1898 to Daisy B. Jarvis who survives with one son. John Lewis Kelso of Crawfordsville and two grandchidlren, Donald and Dorothy Kelso. Another son Herbert is dead. Funeral services at the Proffit Funeral Home in Crawfordsville on Monday afternoon were in charge of Rev. John Servies. Pallbearers were Hubert Lewis, Clay Lewis, Julius Graves, Wayne Shoaf, Clay Williams, Jarvis Todd and Gerlin Todd. Flower bearers were Dorothy Kelso, Florence Simmons, Clela Brannon, Barbara McAllister, Makue McAllister, Armetta Hayes, Mary Vaught, Frances Lewis, Helen Sue Grimes, Norma Hyten and Ilene Siluee. Burial in Maple Ridge.
