Crawfordsville Journal & Review, March 21, 1931
Miss Amanda E. KELLY for many years a resident of Crawfordsville passed away at her home, 408 E. Main Street, sometime Friday. Her body was discovered about midnight. She had died several hours previous. Miss Kelly, who had lived alone for many years had been a resident of the city since a child. Born at Frankfort, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Kreps Kelly the deceased came to Crawfordsville with her parents when a small child having made her home here ever since. She was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church where she was a regular attendant until her health failed. One sister, Mrs. Mary E. Ramsey west Main survives. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral services will be conducted at Utterback-Murphy funeral home Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock with Rev. Melvin Oggel officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
