William JEFFREY, whose death occurred at his home here last week, has been a resident of Crawfordsville for many years. For two years past he had been confined to his home with cancer of the face and had suffered much during that period. Mr. Jeffrey was an employee of JM Lee in this city for 17 years but of late years he had conducted a transfer business. His wife and 9 children survive the deceased 3 children having preceded him in death. The children are: Sherman; Harry & French; Mrs. Ella Horne and Mrs. Elsa Grizzel of Crawfordsville; Howard Jeffrey of Muncie; Mrs. Alice Howard of Martinsville; Mrs. Bertha Zook of Muncie and Mrs. Etta Fryer of Lafayette. The children cared for Mr. Jeffrey tenderly during his long illness. His funeral was held last Sunday with burial in Oak Hill cemetery attended by a large number of his friends.
