Miss Wanetah Jarvis has accepted the position of manager of the girls basketball team. The girls have requested Mr. Blacker to help coach the team and no doubt a good team will be developed. The state athletic board has forbidden girls from playing by boy's rules and recommend the three-court game which will be followed by the Waveland team. Miss Jarvis will probably get into touch with some of the managers soon and organize a good schedule. The first game for the boys will be on Oct 20 when the New Market team comes to Waveland. Mr. Blacker is getting out a good schedule and has arranged for all the games for the entire season. The schedules is in the hands of the printer and will be out in a short time.
