S.N. Jarvis - Fire
The fire in the S.N. Jarvis residence, noted last week, started from a defective flue which was damaged by the storm last summer. Mrs. Jarvis smelled the smoke, but when the fire was located the entire attic was in a blaze and it was not possible to remove much of the contents. Mr. Jarvis had $7,500 insurance on house and contents, but this of course does not cover the loss. For the present they are staying with Mr. and Mrs. Claude Jarvis. They have made no rebuilding plans and will probably spend the winter with relatives in Mississippi.
