James Q. HALL

Crawfordsville Weekly Journal, March 29, 1895

James Q. HALL, a farmer living some 4 miles So. of town, had been hauling lumber from the sawmill here for the past few days to his home and came in for another load yesterday morning. He was taken suddenly sick while loading the lumber and Dr. Coffman was called and found him suffering from hernialegia and relieved him enough that he was put in a buggy and taken home, where he immediately grew worse and died in the evening. Mr. Hall was a large, fleshy man, weighing at times near 300 pounds. He was of a kind genial disposition, a kind husband and father a good neighbor and leaves a wife and large family to mourn his loss. He was about 50 years old.
