Miss Rose GARLAND, formerly a resident of Byron Community died Saturday morning at Beaumont, TX. Miss Garland, 68 had been ill since Thanksgiving. Born near Byron, the daughter of Calvin and Mary Garland, she and a sister had retired in Beaumont for many years, who with Mrs. Mettie Fisher and a brother, Thomas Garland, two nieces and two nephews. Mrs. Bernard Clore of Waveland Rev. Lloyd Garland of Lagrange, Ga and Miss Esther Garland of Idaho Falls remain. Funeral services were conducted in Beaumont Monday afternoon.
