Edward E. GARDNER 77 a former resident died in the Putnam Co. Hospital on Sunday afternoon after a 3-day illness. He was the son of William and Lydia Walden Gardener and was born near Russellville. He married Cora Ann Webster now dead. To them were born 3 sons: Frank of Waveland; Earl of New Market and Ben of Indianapolis; and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Shoaf of Greencastle, with whom he had been making his home. He was widely known as a horse breeder and buyer. Funeral services at the Reeves Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon. Burial in Russellville Cem.
