Rachel H. Carlson, 75, Hillsboro, died 4:58 p.m. Tuesday
in St. Clare Medical Center, Crawfordsville.

Mrs. Carlson formerly worked as a surgical assistant for 10
years at Culver Union Hospital, Crawfordsville, and later
worked five years at Hillsboro State Bank.

She was raised at Pence and graduated from Williamsport
High School in 1946. She had resided at Hillsboro since
1949.

Her memberships included Hillsboro United Methodist
Church, Fern Chapter 194 Order of Eastern Star and
former member of Pythian Sisters.

She was born April 12, 1928, at Alvin, Ill., to Clarence E.
and Ethel H. Wolfe Galloway. She married Billy Gene
Carlson on Aug. 17, 1946, at Brownsburg. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, William Michael, Hillsboro,
and Thomas Patrick, Greentown; five grandchildren; and
six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Friday in Maus
Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Linda Lawler
officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
