Grandma Flannigan, mother of Mrs. Alex Harper, died Aug. 4 at noon at Decatur, Ill where she was visiting one of her children. Shortly after going there she met with a fall which made her an easy victim to a stroke of paralysis which finally caused her death. She was over 90 years old having been born in Va. April 5, 1803. For 68 years she has been a resident of Montgomery Co and for the past few years has made her home with Mrs. Harper. She was a most excellent old lady. The remains arrived from Decatur Sat. and the funeral was at the Lutheran Church, 4 mi. E. of Darlington. Sunday morning, starting from the residence of Alex. Harper at half past nine. The services were conducted by Rev. Gus Johnson of Lebanon.
