Rev. Oliver J. FISKE (sic - Fisk) died of a severe attacKnights of Pythiasneumonia last evening at his home 604 Binford Street, this city. In a few days he would have been 77 years of age. He was a graduate of Brown Univeristy, Providence, RI. He was an ordained minister of the Baptist Church and his life was spent teaching and preaching. He was professor and president of Enon College, Gallatin, Tenn, for a number of years. In 1854 he removed to Bloomington, Illinois. From that time until age compelled him to relinquish all pastoral duties he was never without a charge. He leaves a widow, two sons,E.B. Fiske an attorney of Rochester NY and C.H. Fiske of Crawfordsville with whom he has made his home for the past 10 years continuously at Indianapolis and here. His ending was peaceful, quiet and painless. Funeral services were held at Bloomington Illinois where his body will be taken for interment.
