Richard Fendley, age 87, succumbs - Native of County Dies at Home of Niece near Parkersburg Richard Alexander Fendley, 87, native of Montgomery County died at 3:50 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home of a niece, Mrs. Lee Burkett, near Parkersburg on State Road 43. He suffered a paralytic stroke and had been ill two weeks. Born Jan 6, 1852, Mr. Fendley was the son of Thomas and Martha Hicks Fendley. The deceased was a member of the Parkersburg Christian Church. Surviving are a nephew and six nieces. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Parkersburg Christian Church in charge of Rev. Robert Hall of Indianapolis. Burial will be made in Hebron Cemetery south of Russellville.
