BIOGRAPHYFannie Ellen ElmoreCrawfordsville Journal-Review Mrs. Fannie Ellen GARDNER, 84, last surviving member
of a pioneer Montgomery County family, died Monday night
at Culver Hospital from injuries suffered in a fall at
her home in Alamo 8 days ago. Mrs. Gardner, who was a
resident of Montgomery County most of her life, was born
April 24, 1865 near Alamo. Her parents were Mathias &
Mary Ann Willis Elmore. She married Samuel Franklin
Gardner, who died August 10 1941. She was a member of the
30th Street Methodist Church, Indianapolis. NIeces and
nephews who survive are Mrs. Fern Parkins, Baltimore, Md;
Ray Miller and Mrs. Mary Brown of indianpolis; Mat Green
of Roachdale; Roscoe Elmore and Albert Elmore both of
Alamo and Mrs. Grace Drollinger of Steam Corner. Mrs.
Gardner, who had been living in Alamo resided at 805 W.
Pike Street several years. Funeral services will be held
at one o'clock Friday afternoon at Proffitt & Sons
Funeral Home. Burial will be Crown Hill Cemetery,
Indianapolis, Rev. John Servies officiatiing
