DAN (Belva) ELLIS TAKEN BY DEATH
Dan (Belva) Ellis, 74, died Sunday morning at 10:27 o'clock at the home of a cousin, Jack Ellis, 502 Allen street. He had been ill three months and death was attributed to a kidney ailment.
Born Dec. 8, 1873 in Montgomery county, he was the son of William P. and Mary B. Couger Ellis. He married Mary Stout at Circleville, Ohio, in 1900. She preceded him in death.
He was connected with the Jaques-Haven Poultry company here for years. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Smith of Oakland, Calif.; a son, Russell Ellis of Crawfordsville and a sister, Mrs. Guy Wilhelm of Crawfordsville. Two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Cooper and Sena Ellis and two brothers, Charley and Ira preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Proffitt and Sons mortuary with Rev. John Servies in charge. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
