Ladoga, March 17
Hezekiah H. Davis, aged 57, better known as "Holl," d. at his home here this morning about 3 very suddenly as he had not been ill previously. All day on Tues he hauled logs and did not complain of feeling out of sorts. His struggles awoke his wife this morning and she could tell that he was in great distress and she arose but before she could secure a light and return to his bedside he was dead. A physician was hastily summoned but he was unable to resuscitate the man. A postmortem was held this morning and it was found taht Mr. Davis's death was due to ulcers in the stomach and in addition he was troubled with heart disease. His death came as a great shock to his family. He is survived by his widow and six children. The children are Daniel Davis; Mrs. Jennie LITH, Mrs. Elsie PICKARD, Rosie, Leslie, Ollie and Earl, all of this place or near it. Five brothers, Charles of Lebanon; Rev. George of Polar BLuff, Mo; John Fillmore, Ind; and William J and James of this place and two sisters, Mrs. Ann TENER Iowa and Mrs. Clara MOUNT of this place, also survive. The fun. serv. will be held on Fri. at ten at the home with interment in Stoner Cemetery
