Zuck - James

James Zuck, of Ballard, Washington, a resident some years ago of Waynetown and a relative of the Zucks of that place, has been appointed post master of his town. The Seattle Intelligencer thus speaks of him: James E. Zuck was born in Waynetown Ind in 1868. He received his education in Wabash College, Crawfordsville, Ind but left at the age of 21 before graduation to come to Seattle. Since that time he has lived here and in Ballard. In the latter place he built a shingle mill five years ago and now owns and operates it. Last December he was elected a member of Ballard’s City council which is the only republican office he has held prior to his appointment as postmaster. His appointment will give general satisfaction.”
