Wert - Elnathan
Elnathan Wert, b Bet. 1775 - 1780 in New Jersey, and his wife Elizabeth had
the following children [and there could be more, this is just all I know.]

Irene Wert m. Michael "Daniel" Barnes
Richard Derrick Wert
David Wert
Asher Wert(wife Margaret Corson)
Eliza Wert m. James W Wilkinson
All of these children ended up in Montgomery /Fountain Cos except Asher Wert who stayed in Cincinnati.
Rebecca Wert was the second child of Asher Wert & Margaret Corson. All of the other chldren of Asher and Margaret stayed in Hamilton Co except Rebecca, who married James McCormick. I don't really know yet if she married in Hamilton Co or if she married here; there are lots of McCormicks in both places.
I also have not followed every single child of his to see if any others ended up here.

Wesley was good at hiding! But he married Hazel, born about 1893, I believe. In 1900, "Armana H. Zachary" and his wife Cordelia have a daughter Hazel; the family is living in Howard Twp Parke Co IN. In 1910 the census taker was creative in spelling! "Cordia and Harmon Zochary" had an 18 year old daughter Hazle; they were living in Greene, Parke County, IN. I didn't have any luck at all with the marriage registers, but I found the couple in 1930 in Clinton, Vermillion, IN with two children, Alvin K 16 and Flossie M 13. All were born in Indiana. When they married, Wesley was 20 and Hazel 22.

What happened to Hattie Wert and Julia Wert after Austin?
In 1920 Hattie is living in Wayne Twp Montgomery Co IN with Katherine Wert, her daughter. The head of household is her sister, Jennie Smith and a Verna Smith is the fourth member of the household. (In 1920 she is "widowed" but in 1910 she is "divorced". In 1920 Julia Osborne Wert worked as a hotel chambermaid in Crawfordsville, but I didn't find her in 1930. You all have interesting puzzles - fun to "work" on when I'm out of town without my notes and records! Kathy
