1453--REV. SAMUEL G. SMITH, (son of Isaac Henry and Ann Eliza Otterman) married at Ladoga, Oct. 20th, 1892, NORA ULYSSES RAINS, born near Ladoga, May 3rd, 1872 (dau. of THOMAS and MARY (Benson) RAINS.)
Rev. Smith was educated as a teacher at Central Normal College, Danville, Ind. He taught three years then entered the ministry in the Christian Church. He was pastor of the Ladoga Christian Church for ten years. He is now retired, because of ill health. At times more than one fourth of his congregations were relatives.
